Inflammation Antibodies

Inflammation is typically an organism’s response to pathogens or irritants. Immunoglobulins and fibrins or inflammation antibodies are contained in the plasma fluid along with proteins and are directed into the inflamed tissues. This response causes an increased collectivity of fluid and can give the typical swollen appearance of inflammation. Allergic reactions are a product of inappropriately triggered inflammation responses by mast cells to allergens. Such hypersensitivity responses are controlled by inflammation antibodies reacting to induce inflammation. Recently, the development of therapeutic antibodies has helped for the treatment of inflammation and autoimmune diseases.

Anti- Vitamin D binding antibody targets a protein found in plasma, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid. It occurs on the surface of many other cell types. When in plasma, it facilitates the transport of vitamin D and associates with the immunoglobulin on the surface of B- lymphocytes and receptors on the surface of T- lymphocytes. APOB, or apolipoprotein B, is a protein component of chylomicrons. Anti- APOB antibody binds to apolipoprotein B. Defects in APOB cause a disorder called familial hypobetalipoproteinemia type 1. People suffering from this disorder have drastically reduced plasma concentrations, low density lipoproteins, and have trouble absorbing dietary fat.
